Age groups
Children train with players of a similar age, so activities fit how they learn, move and play at each stage of development.
Fun, game-based sessions that build coordination, balance and confidence with the ball. Children learn to listen, take turns and enjoy playing in a team.
Dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting become more consistent, with small-sided games that teach players to use those skills under light pressure.
Positions, movement off the ball and simple tactics are introduced, so players start to read the game and make decisions with their teammates.
Higher-tempo training that sharpens technique, fitness and game understanding, preparing players for tournaments and competitive matches.
How progress works
The programme moves from basic technique to applying skills in real games. Each month concentrates on one skill area, so children practise it in depth before moving on.
Twice a year, players take part in skill tests. Coaches use the results to set personal goals, and parents can see exactly how their child is developing.
